Peggy’s Place has been created to support the need to provide additional safe spaces for women and their children. This is so they can transition without fear of being homeless and returning to violence. Peggy’s Place acts as a stopgap for the vulnerable families who have transitioned through a refuge; however, are not quite ready for independent living. In consultation with specialist DFV service providers, these service supports have been strategically designed to meet the needs of women and children of various ages and demographics. Care has been taken to allot space for those from vulnerable groups and communities.

Peggy’s Place is operated by a proficient team of service practitioners who adhere to the regulatory framework, encompassing standards, principles, and best practices. Residents at Peggy’s Place will receive support from a dedicated trauma-informed practice team, all of whom possess National Police Clearances and Working with Children Blue Cards.
Peggy’s Place has been professionally designed to accommodate the diverse needs of numerous families comfortably. However, a substantial intake will only proceed following careful assessment and a methodical rollout once the service is firmly established in 2024. We advocate for a staggered approach to ensure that all our processes are meticulously organised and functioning effectively.
